I started around first light, made a run over to State Park from Loyd park launch. Fished the tires around the boat slips. Went to the hump close to the dam, also no luck. Stopped at Lynn Creek Marina, bought some minnows. Headed to Walnut Creek. Fished Walnut Creek all the way to the Hwy 360 bridge. Caught one small BS and that was it. Talked to every bank fisherman I could, noone had a fish, it was real slow this morning. Water Temp was 65 - 69 degress up Walnut Creek. There should have been some sandies, but, nothing. Oh Well!

We had similar luck Saturday night. Grabbed a ton of minnows and dropped lights at the mouth of walnut creek, tried several other humps and NOTHING! Good times still though.

You cannot get pass the Hwy 360 bridge due to log jam. The water is about 12-14 ft. on my graph at the 360 bridge.

I have a 23ft. Carolina Skiff, very wide and deep, I have no problems getting up Walnut Creek.

The birds were working by the state park marina Thursday morning. Sandies were in about 20 to 25 feet of water. White/chart slab still gives best results. Also marked fish south of bridge by Lynn Creek marina but the bite was very slow.

Went out around 2pm fished till 5pm,caught 45 sandies 20' to 35' . I was targetting fish on the bottom with jigging spoons . Didn't use my fav. (gold) just chart. and silver only. all the keeper fish came from 30'-35' and the rest came from around 20' to 28'. Only about 15 keepers . Just had to get out and play with the graph a bit . Lots of shad in 20'to 25'off of points and humps .I'm sure if you were there around 6pm to 7pm you could catch them shallower.Hope this helps someone who is going out there.
