...on McQueeny. It was not a monster, but a 9.5 inch redbreast  i will apply for the catch and release record, but should have had the lake record. Little guy completely swallowed my worm and he is still swimming to tell of it. I also JUST missed the lake catch and release record for LMB by less than 1" with this guy who was 6#

Do you live on Lake Mcqueeney? I fished there several years back when they had a park, but have since learned that the park is no longer existant and it is all private property. If possible would you care to let me fish it for a small fee? I remember some of my buddies catching bass in the weed bed creek behind the actual lake. It is where I got my first fishing without a license ticket. (I barely turned 18 at the time and did not know that I needed a license.) Would love to fish those lily pad 4" across spillways for bass now.

I do not live there. I used the "private" launch under the power line...what's left of it.

Hendo, can anyone use that "private" launch. Its this the one by the power plant. If you dont mind sharing, how do you get there from 35 or fm 78? I would love to fish that place again, but dont have anyway to get on. Do you have to have 4 wheel drive at the ramp your speaking of?

It is my understanding that the launch is in a utility easement.(its right underneath some huge power lines) I have never had any problem with launching there. The ramp is in poor condition, but it is usable. i have used worse. Just stay to the left side and you will be fine. I have never had to use 4wd there.
From 35 take FM 725. Turn left on Lake Creek Dr, Then left on Ridgecliff Dr. That leads straight down to the launch.

I'm launching a 19ft nitro. I drive a gmc sierra. 2wd. Think the truck could handle that?

That's a nice bass there bud. Your fishin in my spot. haha my buddy and I are the ones that don't have an outboard and are fishing out of a bass tracker.. just a trolling motor.. no need for an outboard on McQueeny as of this moment.
