Top five must have bass flies, (with colors) Top five blue gill/pan fish flies (with color) Mainly easier ones for beginners. Would like some top and below water flies if possible.

Of course any of these would work well on any given day.

I will be "attempting" to tye. What hook sizes to you use for ... 1) top water bass 2) streamer bass 3) top water panfish 4) streamer panfish
Got plenty of lures but dad gum fish just wont cooperate. Wannabe fisherman in training.

panfish, I'd go no larger than #6, use whatever sizes you want.
Bass, no smaller than #6 and on up.
Of course these are all broad stroke suggestions.

Don't see much mention of Cap Spiders on these lists, but I don't go bluegill fishing without a few Cap Spiders. Like Michael, I prefer to tie mine on the 1/124 oz crappie jigs with the size 10 hooks. I carry all colors, but seldom need any other than the black, olive, or chartreuse. I have caught more bluegill that weigh over a pound on Cap Spiders than on everything else combined.
Have fun with this stuff.
