I’m getting ready to invest in a fish finder for my Bass Tracker bass boat. I’d like to get better at structure fishing and because of my budget, I plan on buying the HB 597ci HD DI combo.
I currently have a Cuda that was originally installed on the boat, which I am replacing, and last year I bought a Garmin 100 for the trolling motor. The Garmin is not fancy – no sonar, etc.
Need yall’s opinion on where I should mount the display. Trolling motor or cockpit?

Only one sonar unit? If that's the case, cockpit.

Thanx!
That's what I was leaning towards.
