OK, I am planning a trip to go off-shore fishing at the end of October and need some imput. We have a group of about 6-8 and we want to go out of either Galveston, Freeport, or Kemah.

Question, Who does everyone reccommend for a charter. We want it to be just us on the boat, we do not want a big party boat. Looking to catch snapper, ling, tuna, or any combination, not looking for sail fish. Looking for the best deal too.

Thanks in advance
Gilly

Ah come on now, I'm sure at least one person has chartered a boat out of the Galveston area. ANY help would be appreciated.

Galveston C of C or Freeport C of C should be a good source of info. I've chartered out of Freeport a few times, but for the life of me can't remember with who...if you keep your number of fishermen down to 6 I think it'll be a lot easier (in terms of cost and availability) to get a charter and I think you'll have a lot more choices (has to do with the type of Coast Guard license required to take up to 6, or more than 6). The docks at hiway 332 just b-4 the bridge @ surfside would be a good starting point.

Tip your captain and the mate! And, go catch some fish!!
