Lake Austin has produced more SALs per surface acre than any other this year. Word has it that they are spawning in about 10'.

Come spend some time on beautiful Lake Conroe! Wake boats, jet skis, cigarette boats, big cruisers, lots of bulkhead for the waves to bounce off and lots of wind and there's no grass to mess up your lures or props. When you get tired of fishing for giant bass, you can test your angling skills by fishing for a world record grass carp! The proceeding was brought to you by the Lake Conroe Homeowners Asscociation..........

Zero doubt, Falcon, Falcon, Falcon. Try to find humps or drop offs in 15-20 feet. Stock up on 7" magnum flukes in the Houdini color. Have fun!!

You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.

Yep, Falcon.
I was there 2 weeks ago and I'm leaving in the morning for another 4 day trip.
Can't think...can't work...leaving work early to go home and stare at my fishing tackle!

Last week we had the most success using 7" Magnum flukes in the Houdini color, rigged texas style with a heavy bullet weight. Drag it slowly on the bottom in 15-20 ft and look for humps or drop offs. Carolina rigs were also very effective. If you use a crank bait make sure your bumping the bottom. We were also using 25 lb Fl-Carbon line. Good luck and have a blast!
