Anybody know how artificial Christmas trees work as brushpiles? My neighbor has an old 6 ft tree he is offering me after he upgraded to an 8 ft (needs more room underneath for presents I guess). It will certainly not float. Should work.

Question on brush piles and pvc crappie condos.
What the rule legal or not. I have been looking and can't find anything that says yes or no.
Or does it depend on the lake you want to put them in.
Just don't want to do something not suppose to.
Thanks

Thanks That all depends onthe Lake and the Authority on that lake. Lake Granger's COE says to go ahead, but make sure they are not a hazzard to anyone.

Sow and reap.. GOOD stuff!!!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I like that design. Looks like even if it does fall in any direction would still be good structure.

Since I have had people asking me how I made these. I have no plans but I will explain how I make them. Supplies you will need:1. Washtub 2. Sheet plastic 3. bag of sac-crete (40-80#'s.. I Use 60#'s) 4. at least 5 feet of 4" pvc 5. Brush that you wish to put into the Base(Christmas trees, Willow, and Hardwood) Instructions:1. I take my Washtub and put two layers of Sheet plastic in it so the Sac-crete is easy to remove from the washtub. 2. Cut 5x 1' pieces of 4" pvc 3. Mix Sac-crete and pure into plastic covered washtub. 4. Put pvc pipes in at angles as the pic below and one standing strait up. 5. Allow proper drying time before removing form washtub and plastic. 6. Drill one 1/8" hole in side of each pvc pipe 1' from the end. 7. Put base and 5 pieces of brush in boat and take to the lake. 8. Put brush in pipes and use 2" Drywall screw to hold brush in the pvc predrilled hole. 9. Put Base on 2x6 board and slide over board(this keeps you form scraping you boat up). See Pics below. P.S. Last important step below!Take pictures, Save cords, and send to me for inspection! lol

Sweet. Nice information and some very nice homemade condos I might add. If I was a crappie, I'd hang around em'.
