Go with the Boyd Duckett cranking series. That is by far my favorite crank rod I have.

For small crankbaits that dive btw 0 and 8 feet.
I used Falcon LowRider Weightless Worm Rod, it's a freaking excellent CB rod with it's fast tip.
Runs about $130....

I have the st-croix mojo bass crankbait rod for shallow to medium divers and it works really well and its only like 90 bucks. There are going to be a lot of different brand cranking-rods because its a pretty popular type of fishing but just go with what feels good and is in your price range in a 7 ft or longer medium action rod and it will be fine.

If you're dragging big lipped baits, I'd look at the 8 ft Powell heavy action cranking rod. Tacklewarehouse waa having a sale on them. It didn't break the bank (120 bucks I think) and I love how easy on the wrists DD-22s are with it. I think it's too much for anything much lighter though.
