Anyone fished out there lately? If so, how did you do? I am thinking about heading out there this weekend, but I know that lake gets hot quickly so I am not sure if I should go there, or to Fayette? Suggestions?

i would probably go to fayette.... we went out to coleto for spring break... fishin was really good then. Caught a lot of bass, and probably really couldve gotten into them if we were really trying, but we were runnign lines trying to catch food and hanging out more than anything.

We found them in some trees from 4-8ft or so.

If you want some more exact locations, just pm me.

Catfishing was really good too.

none of the bass we caught were real big. Biggest about 3 pounds or so. Caught some big blues on our trotlines though.

Fayette is a pretty easy lake to fish. You can catch fish on anything most of the time. Just use whatever lure you have confidence in and get to work. Shakeyhead plastics and crankbaits have been producing the last few weeks around the timber.
