Well, if you 'know' the other fisherman and are good friends or have been life-long buddies, guess it wouldn't depend on who they are to enjoy the tourney.

Now if it's someone you've never met, then I got yall's point.

I always feel sorry for guys I see out fishing alone. It makes me wonder.... now how come a guy with a boat cant find a buddy to go along, help launch, bring lunch, share gas, make fun of him and hand him a beer every now and then.

At least, thats what my fishin buddies usually do. I return the favor...

I enjoy fishing with someone or alone. Fishing with someone has all good points that been posted. When I fish alone, I tend to do more exploring, experimenting with electronics and equipment, trying different fishing techniques and lures, and enjoy more nature things.

If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life,
there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

As I get older, I find myself finding a partner to fish with ....But, will go it alone if I have to, especially on spur of the moment trips...
Not fun falling into the water when you're alone...and yes, I've done it...Be safe...

I typically fish by self although I prefer a fishing partner. I plug up the Ipod to speed along the hours but fishing with a partner is so much more enjoyable.
