To network together do I only need an EtherNet cable to go between the LSS1 and the LM522c?

To network the HDS-5 and the 522 you will have to do the NMEA2000 buss system not the ethernet. You will only be able to share the GPS

If you net work them by nema 2000 you will be able share wpts, gps ant. and other sensor that go over the nema system. FYI. you will not be able share mapping. So you will not see hds 5 mapping screen on your 522. just the reg. mapping on your 522.

So, is it the Lowrance p/n 000-0124-69 that I will need? It is described as being for red connector devices. Will this kit plus the purchase of one red to blue adaptor cable be all that I will need? What is the One Time Purchase deal that I heard about? Does that mean the price is reduced from the regular $49.95 price for it.
