I havent heard anything about this tournament this year so far so Ill go ahead and get us kicked off. The past couple years I have noticed this tournament just continues to lose interest and I would like to see it get back to the way it was. So Im just going to get things started this Thursday March 31st. This first one will be run by me (Spencer McBride), if you fished any out there in the past I run a 19ft black and maroon skeeter. After this first one the winner each week will run the next weeks tournament, unless of coarse you have any schedule conflictions. If so I or another volunteer can run it for you. I would love to run them all but my work schedule just doesnt allow me too. We will keep the same rules as we always used. For those who dont know these rules I will have copies at the first tourney but theyre basically the same as any other tournament. Last year a concern I heard with these tournaments was the type of pay out we had which was basically 100 percent to first place until we got over 15 entries and last year we never once hit 15. I thought about this over the last week and decided to put together a couple different pay chart samples to address this issue. One sample would pay 1 of every 5 entries; the second would pay 1 for every 10 entries, and last would be the same as last year 1 for every 15. I also heard some individuals say they would like to see 100 percent to first. This is all going to open for us to talk about this Thursday night after the tournament because I want everyones input and not just on this issue but anything that you feel could make this a better tournament. Once we have a consensus between everybody I will add the payout to the rules. This is a 100% payout tournament the tournament director makes no money. Just a bunch of guys getting together for a little friendly competition and maybe win a little change.
So for this Thursday March31st, Weatherford Working Mans Tournament March 31st through TBD $25 entry per boat 5$ of that is the big bass pot 6pm-9:30pm I will be at the lake by 5pm to start taking entry I will discuss all the rules with each entrant before we take off, for late entries I will hang around the ramp until 6:20 or so. Dont forget to pay your boat launch at the marina which is $5 The ramp is usable right now and the fishing is picking up!

Pass this around fella's, I would like to see a great turnout. Also lets try to get a roll call going so we have a bit of an idea of how many boats we have in this first tournament.

No problem paying Deeper into the field but I wouldn't pay 2 spots deep until more than about ten teams show up. That way there is enough money in the pot to split up and be able to cover expenses for the night
I'm sure pete and I will be there as schedules allow

I would love to fish this tourney if work will allow. I have not fished this lake in years.... In fact it was so long ago I was a kid. I do not even know how to get to the ramp could someone give me directions comming from FTW area. I remember the last time I fished Lake Weatherford the fishing there was great.
