Glad that I had time to spend with my dad this week on Palestine, great memories.

Yes, they were shallow. We limited out 3 out of 4 days, with crappie buster jigs. Pics were taken @ Lake Palestine Campground, and it does have a boat ramp.

Point deduction for wearing a Titleist cap on a crappie trip! LOL.

Congrats to you and your Pops!

I wouldn't care if he wore his "Singin Bass Hat" if I could just get my Dad to go fishin with me 1 more time. Good job East Tex!

Lol.. Feel the same bout my gpa! He had 2 hats he wore religiously while crappie fishing. The old school fish net caps w the big thick foam front crown, one of em sd "old fart" and the other "crappie catcher".. And both were accurate when sitting atop his head.
Nice fish btw!

That is great! I've had the pleasure in past two springs to have my dad down to crappie fish with me, last year on Palestine while I was working up there, and this year here at home on Lake Conroe. I know that the oportunities to fish with my dad, who lives more than 500 miles from me, are few and far between, but we both enjoy it very much while we're out on the lake drowning jigs and throwin slabs in the livewell!
