Mille Lacs Lake is the place to catch so serious quanity and quality! I am from MN and that lake is amazing for smallmouth. There is a slot for smallmouth on the lake enforcing that all smallies under 21in must be imediatly released. This makes for an amazing fishery. Not to mention you can really wack some nice largies in the bays out there. Nothin like texas sized bass but you can get them up to 6 lbs with multiple 3s and 4s.

Erie. Another GREAT Smallmouth fishery is the Susquhannah River in PA. If you ever want to make this trip look up Guide Ken Penrod. He has a guide service based out of Maryland and guides the Potomac (upper and Lower), Susquhannah River in PA, and other area rivers and lakes

Well whitney used to hold the tx record and i THINK merideth has it now so good small mouth there. Cant remember the name but used to be a guide on whitney that targeted them and held the record for a number of years, if i remember right he fished at night for them there. Just thinking some place possibly closer but if you want great small mouth fishing then you need to go north.

Ron Gardner (Whitney night time winter guide)

+1 on Texoma from Little Mineral around Eisenhower and to the dam and along rock rip-rap from dam to Burns Run (OK side).

Go to Maine in the ead of may early june...No one up there fishes for them and you have the lakes to yourselfs..Hit the sabago lake region and fish the smaller lakes like pennaswasse. We average about 150 a day up to 6 lbs. If you want to try breaking a record..No other lake but erie will do that. Champlain in up state NY has some great smallies also.

AZ gov for prez...Its about time someone wants to take america back!!

Yes, Meredith holds the record, but it is closed for now.
