Whenever I use mono I have been using the Berkley Big Game in the high vis green. What is you guys thoughts on high vis line or any of the colors. I think the Big Game comes in high vis green, dark green, some sorta clear blue, and clear. What is the best color to use, am I spooking some fish with the bright green line?? I only use it on my faster moving baits like cranks and stuff where I think the fish is not going to really have time to react to the line color or the line at all. Anyways I like the big game so what of those colors would you guys use? And what are the advantages if any to colored line?

I tend to use the low-vis green on all my mono, but that's just me. I've been known to use clear also, but not as often.

I used to use clear, then went low vis green for some reason (I think it was mental). Well I haven't caught more with the green and 2 weekends ago I was using 14lb green on one rod and 25lb clear on the other (same color lizard on both) for some reason I was getting more bites on the clear even though it was twice the thickness. So I'm going back to clear on all rods. I tried flurocarbon too but it breaks too easily if it gets kinked, so no more of that high dollar stuff.

If you were hopping your lizard or was getting bites on the initial fall, that is not a true color test. They may have been hitting it because of the different fall rate.

I use lo-viz green, but my eyeballs aren't as good as they use to be. I like seeing my line. I may be missing more bites than a colored line would deter.
