Down here at Amistad for the month of March. Having a great time. Went to the tackle shop at Angler's Lodge. I was out of senko type baits. Wanted a certain color and they were out. Clem and his wife Rachel said they could pour up any color I wanted. I just returned from picking them up and they look great! If you are there be sure and pick up some tackle and say HI to them. Great people to deal with. banana

I will be making my first trip down there next weekend and will be staying at the Angler lodge. I cannot wait. I need some pointers on where to start fishing. I will be fishing friday and saturday.

Get up an extra hour early and breakfast down in the store there. Good tacos and you can pick the locals brains on where to go.

Where to fish? I asked the same question and was told there were fish everywhere...I thought...yeah, right...but after staying a week and launching at different ramps and fishing different areas to avoid the wind, I realized there are fish everywhere. I think the best is from mile marker 19 to about 24.
