Have been driving past this lake for years, finaly made a turn to take a peek. Looks like it has a power plant on it or something? Anyone fish this small lake, if so what is the primary? Any Crappie? Thanks for any information!

My daughter and her husband have fished the lake they were bass fishing caught several. That was last year and they haven't been out there this year but they did say the people at the lake were very nice and they did enjoy the trip.

Scottsweet, I fished there for years back in the 70-80 and some in the 90 fishing was tough. There was a marine there and next to the boat ramp was a public swim area with a huge pier for sun bathing. always lots of folk there on the weekends. I fished the boat docks and a cove near the power plant. never caught a huge fish nor did I ever see anything over 3.5 pounds. but that was many years ago Things might have changed THe plant was closed down for some time dont know if it is up and running again. Several times I caught catfish on worms It was known more as a catfish lake back then rather than a bass lake Let me know how you do as I live only 30 minutes from the lake but fish Tyler and Palestine and other lakes wild bill

My grandparents had a lake house on that lake for many years in the 90's, early 00's and I spent many summer days on it. I wasn't big into fishing then, but my grandpa and I always caught tons of crappie in the old creek bed that runs down middle/east side of the lake. The other hotspot was the power plant exhaust just north of the plant. There was always a boat or two parked there. Other than that, the marina used to serve all-you-can-eat catfish (this was 7-8 years ago). All the fish - none of the work.

There is more to the lake than you can see. If you keep going through the shallow water away from the dam on the left hand side there is a creek and you can go way back down that creek with lots of deep water and reeds. I haven't been there in at least 4 years so no reports on the fishing.
