Nice! I have seen that before. I thought it was just a list of ponds with grasser permits, not ponds that are stocked with them. I'll look further into it.

im not sure if that list is fully up to date? i know of one pond that is stocked and was on one of the lists i read on the TPWD website a while ago but i didnt see it on this list.

but yes, if you catch a grasser in any of those water then it needs to be realeased unharmed. if caught one outside of those waters then it doesnt belong there and is supposed to be disembouled...

All just so we are on the same page....white Amur aka grass carp are no friend of the true carp angler in Texas....these fish destroy the habits that Commons thrive in as well as most game fish in Texas, if you capture one in a place it didn't belong kill it sounds harsh but its the law....if they were stocked there try RI release it with out taking it out of the water, I am guilty of trying to get a quick photo but they are really fragile fish and are likely to die if you remove them from the water

I didn't realize there were so many lakes with introduced grassers.
They have infiltrated all of the Houston area bayous and creeks. Where from? No one seems to know.

i agree with Zach, we do not want the common carp to mistaken for grass carp. Even though in many people eyes they are the same. we should distance ourselves from them.

If I catch one somewhere it's not supposed to be? I'm gonna toss it on the grill, half shell style.

Grilled sounds interesting. What do you baste it with, if anything?
