Had Lilburn and Bobby ( fellow TFFers) out today for an afternoon trip. Really didnt expect to do much on the Ole Benbrook due to past experience right after cold front and wind direction change.(I actually re-scheduled morning trip due to having 2 kiddoes and dads out, after we spoke saturday about it being 40 degrees, Dads agree it wouldnt be fun for the kiddoes) Well as we left the dock, I explained to Lilburn and Bobby that i wasnt expecting much past a soso day. WELL, Was i ever wrong.........First stop, fished stacked up right off of a point (12ft to 24ft) dropped down, slab/fly combo 2 sets of double hybrids right away Couple more after that, decide to swap to bigger baits, swapped to assassins with 1 1/2 3d jig heads, Saw some minor bird action on a shallow flat (3 to 5ft), Eased over and it was pretty much one right after the other for about hour an half. Finished the day with 30+ hybrids(not all keepers) and some magnum sandies. Then heres the pending lake record... Lilburn hung a nice yellow/white bass cross. 1.85 lbs. Existing record 1.16 held by fellow TFFer also. Sorry for the quality of photos, drizzling and on my phone.

That's about right always either a day early or day late. I fished Sat. because I watched the weather. Caught 3 fish. Just goes to show, fish don't listen to weather forcast.
