I will be in TX in a couple weeks and wanted to do some bank fishing if possible. its been about 2yrs since i last fished at LLELA.
Anyone having any luck there? Not really set solely on LLELA but its pretty convenient to where i'll be.

Appreciate any input or advice.

NOTHIN. Havent pumped out any water for a while.

It's been "Generation" only for a while. So it's mostly just the native river fish, with perhaps a few that manage to make ti through the generators intact.

I was up there today, a few people fishin but noone catching anything like usual. Carp are still thick, shot a bunch

"shot a bunch" - what does that mean?

I'd say wait for the rains to come so they have to let out a lot more water, but as soon as that happens, the place will be irritatingly crowded all weekend.

At least there's not as many folks keeping undersize fish as their used to be. I remember one time we called the Game Warden hotline, and as soon as folks saw that green truck driving down the long road, people were dumping cools, jumping in their trucks and driving off before he got there. He still handed out a few tickets, though.

Thankfully after they upped the price and started preventing people from bringing nets and cast-nets, among other things, and checking licenses at the gate, the law-breakers stopped showing up in such big numbers.

Still got a few folks out there who don't seem to care about game laws or the fact that other people fish that place and walk those banks too, but definitely nicer then it was for a while.
