I have a 2007 Skeeter ZX225 with the newer dash and was thinking about removing my passenger console for the season. From what I can tell there are some screws under the console. Is it really that easy to remove it, or is it glued in or something also. Only want to do it if it doesn't hurt anything. Let me know if you have done this before.

It's glued in. Removing it will take a lot of willpower, strength and a good pry bar. It's also going to rip some glass off the side of the boat. When I sold them at Plano Marine we had a customer insist that we do this to his boat. He then had some plastic board (like a cutting board) cut and installed it to cover the stripped out glass. I thought it looked pretty bad but it's what he wanted.

Dang. I thought it would just unbolt. If that's the case it will stay were it's at.

2nd console can be added to a single console factory boat, but the 2nd console can't be removed later. Biggest difference in them is that you have the glove box door removed but still have the compartment up under the passenger console. Many guys don't even know it's there. Phoenix boats has just introduced (last 2 years) a passenger console that can be installed/removed by just twisting some latches. It's just starting to evolve in the market and we'll likely see more of them moving forward.
