If the motor checks out, I'd say that's a fair price. I'd rather have an 11 year old boat in almost showroom condition with low hours than a 5 year old boat that's got a ton of hours and was stored in the driveway and has scratches all over it. Those are the 2 extremes, but I think a boat like that would be $50k+ now, so $17,500 in good condition is still a decent price. Of course, I'm a Triton owner, so I'm a little biased.

I know a 2004 TR21 with a 225 Merc that was in great shape and had 180 hrs on it that sold for $20,000 a month ago. Just something to compare it to.

You have to make sure that the low hours are not due to being broken down a lot. From the outside looking in it seems abit overpriced. Maybe $15,000 is more realistic. Its an 11 year old boat no matter how anyone tries to spin it.

Its also underpowered its rated for a 250hp How much performance difference do you really expect to see on a 225 vs. a 250? I've just never really understood this argument very much. Anyway, all I'm really trying to say is that those are some pretty lofty expectations for a $17,500 20+ foot boat in great condition. However, it'd also be interesting to see what "cool electronics" means. If it's two low-end color screen fishfinders without GPS, that's a far cry from an HDS10 at the console and an HDS8 at the bow. Anyway, there are some variables here that I'd want to know about too. But if it does have some non-sidescan/GPS electronics and only an 80# TM, then it's a little high for folks who aren't big Triton fans. But if the electronics really are pretty decent, I'll stick to my guns and say it's about right if the condition is that good and the motor checks out. Just my $.02

Dont think it would really make a performance difference but most people want the most bang for their buck. Just my .02

A merc 250 proxs is a HUGE performance jump from a yamaha 225. Rough estimates calculate that merc pushing around 290 horses.

That's a big boat and is underpowered imho. Also only 80lb TM is pretty light for a 22' boat. TM would be fine on calm days but do we ever get those anymore? Definately seems a bit steep for me on a 11 year old boat given those limitations as those along with the electronics are some of the most importants things on a boat. Most of your time is with the TM down.

Just my $.02 Speed wise it's not going to be anything major like a 10-15 MPH difference. But where you will notice it is in the resale value. You will always lose value when you have a rig that's "under powered"
