you ever fish the jetty by the boat ramp at choke calaham. You can get some huge goo there on crawdads. Also bass fishing is good. Crappie with a jig. Not quite sure where you are on the Nueces. I know where 59 boat ramp is and airport only.

Limits still great fishing in rapids only. Catching all day long. Lots of blue cats coming up river too.

I did good on friday and sunday. Both days caught over 20. The goos and cats are lovin the shrimp and night crawlers. But both types of fish will eat just about anything. I fish between HWY 359 and FM 666. Good stuff let me tell ya!!

those drum put up a good fight. I used to live in Nebraska, and up there they consider them a trash fish and really complain if they catch them. I guess because they catch a lot of them while trying to catch walleye...but I ate some once and just dont see why they were so looked down upon...tasty fish that's willing to bite, and willing to put up a hell of a fight...winner in my book!

luvtxfishin...you seem to be tearing up those gaspergoos! I want to get on some of those. Caught a couple of nice ones fishing for whites. But is there like a certain time of year for those drum? What kind of spots will they be held in and how deep? Fishing on bottom or with a cork? Just wondering
