Well after fishing the tournament last weekend at Cypress and catching almost 100 fish, I decided to go back for some more slab action at cypress springs! This morning my brother -n-law Chris and my niece, joined my daughter and I for some fast action over at lake cypress springs! Despite the wind and running my trolling motor on 60 to 70% for most of the day, it was a perfect day! The girls had a ball fighting these big slabs out from under boat docks!  All our fish came on jigs 1/16th oz. jigs today. The magic color today was custom pour that I make, chartruese and lime! That line would twitch and then the fight was on! Hope you enjoy the pics...thier smiles tell the story! We managed to haul in 65 nice keepers, before the wind got the best of me! Only 7 male fish out of the whole bunch! Eggs are runny and bloody, I suspect the spawn is almost done!    Livewell Duty   65 slabs in the cooler  Good Fishin John

We were out there today also. That wind was a killer. We ended up with 15 slabs and 3 good catfish. We used minnows most of the day and then a guy at the bridge pulled up and started catching fishing from around my boat on a jig and so we switch and started catching fish.
My 1st crappie on a jig. It was greatness.

Congratulations on a terrific day on the water, but more for putting those big ol' smiles on the faces of a couple of young ladies! Very well done, now you just have to make sure they're addicted good and proper
