Fished Choke Sunday afternoon and Monday morning until about 2, wind was gusting to 30+ mph. only caught about 10 with the largest at 4 lbs. Couldn't get to the north side due to the wind (thats where my good spots are).

You would figure with that big ol' moon those fish would go shallow. I guess not considering muddy water...

Whats the deal folks?

yesterday - fished 4 hours. 1 fish in 8ft of water on a hump with a rattletrap. tried 4-10 ft over grass with spinnerbait, nothing. tried 8-15 ft carolina-rigging tank dams, nothing. tried splitshot rigged senko on edges of grass in 5-8 ft, nothing.

I think the fish are in 3'-6' depth. But who knows, I didn't catch a whole lot either.

Someone needs to unlock it before I go this weekend. I plan on working shallow unless someone changes my mind

went this morning with some success. the engine wouldnt start so i just dropped the trolling motor an headed left out of state park ramp. 1st cast with a white/chartreuse buzzbait he nailed it. it was a keeper but not much size. 2nd cast same buzz bait an i hooked a 3.5 pounder. all in all 4 fish shallow from 715-11am then nothing after that. couple of guys were fishing the back of that cove an were hittin em on a white/chartreuse spinner bait. so they're shallow for sure just have to get em early. from 11-3 there was nothing. i tried flippin the trees, deep crankin (10-14), lipless crank baits they didnt seem to want anything. i was talking with a guy at the ramp an he said he had a 10 lber all the way to the boat on a soft platic but it got away...the big ones always do.
