i don't think we have them down here, if so not many....

PB Blue Cat = 36 lbs - Texoma
PB Black Bass = 9.9 lbs - Ray Hubbard
PB Striper = 19 Lbs - Beaver Lake AR

I'm thankful for all the things i have, and all the things i don't. I have dreams that will come true and i have some that won't.

They are in the red river but in small numbers....You can catch them on the texas side where the bait house used to be - I would only try after they have been generating for at least 6 hours

I'm not sure what a skipjack is? I do know that I have caught fish blow Denison dam that I have caught no where else and have no idea what they were. Odd fish in the Red.

We use shad because it's whats natural to our lakes and river systems here in Texas.

The reason you are not finding skips is because they are not native here. There has been a buzz of using skipjack here in Texas for bluecats the last couple winters. I think there is even a guy on the forum who worked out some deal out of mississippi or alabama to bring them in. Someone else can probably chime in and give you more details about how to get them and how they work.

I just use shad. thumb

Here is a chart showing the native range of skip jack. They are Native to Texas just not in large numbers.
