im from a little town called Plummerville Its in Arkansas.Im used to catching skippys with ease,but here in Texas I cant seem to catch em.Can I get a little help here.Im trying to catch em below Texoma to catch a few catfish any help would be appreciated.Plus my little girl would appreciate It too since she loves catching them over anything else.Feel free to Pm also.I hate tro ask for help but Im in a time crunch.

i don't think we have them down here, if so not many....

They are in the red river but in small numbers....You can catch them on the texas side where the bait house used to be - I would only try after they have been generating for at least 6 hours

I'm not sure what a skipjack is? I do know that I have caught fish blow Denison dam that I have caught no where else and have no idea what they were. Odd fish in the Red.

We use shad because it's whats natural to our lakes and river systems here in Texas. The reason you are not finding skips is because they are not native here. There has been a buzz of using skipjack here in Texas for bluecats the last couple winters. I think there is even a guy on the forum who worked out some deal out of mississippi or alabama to bring them in. Someone else can probably chime in and give you more details about how to get them and how they work. I just use shad.
