We like taking trips to lakes where we can lodge near the water and have slips to leave the boat a few days. We are looking for some new ideas within say 5 hours of Fort Worth. We love Mountain View at Brownwood ( being torn down now) and Valentine's at LBJ. Just ready to explore something new.Maybe even on Oklahoma.. Any ideas?

What kind of fish?

5 hrs from Fort Worth gives you LOTs of choices.
Texoma, Cooper, Tawak, PK, Buchannon, Whitney, Cedar Creek, Richland Chambers are some choices with lots of choices of resorts and lots of fish to catch.

Only hang up might be the slips. All of the lakes I mentioned may not have places with slips but all have cabins that are on waters edge.

Try Whitehorn Cove on Fort Gibson Lake just East of Tulsa, Ok.
Call first.
I haven't been there in years but used to fish that lake axclusively.
Sandbass fishing was excellent as was crappie, catfish, and LMB.
Facilities were top notch.

J.B, man that brought back memories, as a kid in Tulsa/Jenks we fished whitehorn, spavinaw, blue hole below grand dam, keystone, langley, shell creek, all of them. Great spots!! Sand bass at Tenkiller is about my best memory, along with Baxley's Cabins in Langley. THANKS!!

I think I will narrow my search. How about Texoma? We are looking for a place to stay 3-4 days and leave the boat in a slip during our stay. Thanks
