I have asked before so I'll try again.I have a 95 Johnson 130 when the engine runs for a while(15 mins)or so it just dies while running across the lake. Not sure why if anyone has had this issue please respond totally lost on this one.Could it be a sticking oil valve in my tank? The motor is gas with the oil injected as needed. It will start up right away but start to sputter while running again???Thanks in advance Mike

Mike, I had pretty much the same thing happen on my 95 Johnson 150 Faststrike. I found two problems, one I had a crack on the fuel side of my VRO fuel pump and a bad gasket on my vapor separator. Replaced fuel pump to a non-VRO (pre-mix) and gasket on separator. Running alot better know, although I did have it quit on me one time since while WOT. It is kind of a loaded question though, mine was fuel pressure related, but yours could be the same or carb related, power pack related, ethanol related etc... You will get some great advice from other folks that chime in here and I used all of it and just started to troubleshoot and try to narrow down. Don't know if this helps, but best of luck.

On any engine; if you are just running along and the engine suddenly dies then restarts immediately without having to reprime or wait 5 minutes, it has to be electrical. Only two things can shut one down and then immediately restart. One the ignition or kill switch, (black wire/yellow stripe has gone to ground) Two: Ignition box has failed. aka. switch box, brain box, CDI.
It will not be the stator, nor will it be the trigger.
