Met up with a real good friend of mine today to see if we could get on some Springtime blues in the nice weather now that the winds calmed a bit. Bait gathering started around 4:30am when I finished work and didn't produce a whole lot but ended up being enough. Netted a lil' 1 1/2 pound carp , a buffalo and a handful of cutter shad. Got set-up on the bank about an hour or so after sunrise and it didn't take long for the blues to go acting right laugh. We finished up the day at 2pm after CPR'ing a 16,33, 40 &24lber and keeping 13 nice eaters for the fish fry! The lil carp was the bait that produced the most and the carp head was the lure for the 2 biggest.Shad caught a few as well. Some real nice weather, great company and fun fishing today!

Here is Dave's secret to catch consistent big cat from the bank. He finds a bank spot, places rod in rod holder and places bait in his teeth, then he proceeds to swim out to the spot where he wants his bait. Then he drops and swims back to shore. This is his method for getting his bait beyond everyone elses. rolfmao rolfmao

WTG Jack and Dave. Nice fishies from the bank and a nice mess to clean.

I got another little secret about our ole buddy Dave, he can catch some big ones out of a boat too, he will "Front Boat" you too, always point the boat in the best place to catch fish in the front of the boat and the back of the boat where there isn't a chance to catch a fish!!!

Just kidding, WTG, Dave!!!
