Worm fishing and dropshotting is for old people.
Throw Crankbaits, Spinnerbaits, Swimbaits, Chatterbaits....

Try to stay mentally focused on your bait. Imagine a big fish is hovering over it ready to smack it. And it's quite possible there really is a fish or 2 eyeballing whatever it is your throwing and how many times do you think we yank it right out of their way?
Most things in freshwater, especially what's crawling around on the bottom, move very slowly. Yes sometimes a fast retrieve will get a fishes attention and a reaction bite. But in most cases you'll have a much better chance matching what is going on in nature.
Thinking like that might help you understand why it's important to slow way down.

Take up some type of count system in your head before moving the bait again.

Try to "feel" the bottom with your bait, every twig, rock, pad stem, etc. Slow enough that you can mentally map the bottom on that spot. Also fishing in deeper water made me slow way down and it has paid off in spades.

fish at night. Will make you fish slower and more aware of the feel of your bait. Makes you rely on sense of feel and vibration which IMO makes you a better jig or plastic fisherman day or night.

Good stuff guys! I used to have it down just got used to catching them I go out thinking I got 'em and fish to fast expecting them to be there and lose hope and fish to fast! I think I'm going to fish for structure, bottom, rocks ect. And focus on that not the fish. I think that should put me on them. Sound any good?
