I have my 87 year old Grandpa in town from Chicago for the week and I thought it would fun to chase some crappie. I chase the green fish 200 days a year and have no clue on this crappie thing. I called their number and looked into a afternoon trip but asked questions regarding the ease of taking my Grandpa out, he dosnt get around that great. I was assured by Laurie that Chuck could make it work, when we spoke last night he reassured me that it would be ok. My main concern was running around like we bass guys do and the wind and chop beating up. Chuck told me it wouldn't be bad. We took his Lund out which fit the situation well and he took it easy. (I'm not used to running under 20mph)

We hit our first spot and he showed u's how y'all "Shoot Docks" that is something different. I could tell that my Grandpa wasn't getting it to well. Chucks back up plan? Minnows for the old man. While my dad and I stuck with the jig my Grandpa got a cork and minnow. We moved to our second location and stayed in two general areas nd caught 40-50 keeping 34 fish with my grandpa catching a couple of the bigger fish. It was getting late and Chuck suggested that we go and shoot few docks on the way in. First dock didn't produce but the last one gave up 2 nice slabs for a total of 36 for the afternoon.

Great afternoon had by all except for my mishap. Whacked a rod on a dock and broke the tip. (I will replace it Chuck!!!!!) My Grandpa talked about the trip all the way back to Dallas. I know for a fact I could not have done this without BigCrappie.com's help.

Thanks

Mike Drechsel

Kudos to Chuck, Laurie and the Gang as usual. TX hospitality strikes again; grandpa and Chicago's friends might find their way to revisit you soon. It's always good to hear great story and thanks for sharing!

Wonderful Story!!

I gave my Dad a trip for Christmas with Chuck a couple of years ago, and we had an absolute blast.

Chuck did a great job of keeping us on crappie, and finished up the day catching a few good hybrids and sandies
