IMO yes sometimes even something as small as the color of trailer your using can make a difference I think there are alot of key parts when it comes to spinnerbaits like willow blade or Colorado blade, bronze or silver just have to figure out what the fish want ....

Match the hatch! Pay attention to the baitfish that the bass are hitting.

This time of year the bass are keying in on shad so that white works great. Also pay attention to the variations of shad colors in your lake. It all depends on what kind of shad are in the lake your fishing. Get a cast net and do some throwing around one day if you see a pod of bait. Look at the colors of the shad and mock that color. Plain white works great but I have found if you add just the right touch of color you get more bites becaue your bait looks more like the real thing. Hence the sexy shad color being so popular. You can make your own color on the white skirts by using colored sharpy markers and coloring the white skirts. You will be shocked at how much color does matter.

Then in the months when the bluegills are spawning that purple and greens will do the trick.

Land was created to provide a place for boats to visit!! It is when pirates count their booty that they become mere thieves. ARRRRRR....

Now there's a question all of the spinnerbait builders here deal with every day.....just look at a few of our websites at the many skirt colors we offer. We alone offer over 50 different colors and look at many more on almost a daily basis.

Bottom Line is....there is no magic color. What works for you may not work for me. That's where the thing called CONFIDENCE comes in...if it instills confidence in YOU than it is a good color for you, irregardless of what it looks like to me.

So....like Darryl says above...."GO With What Works" !

White and White/Chartreuse are normally the ticket. I think the blade choice is a more important decision.

White with a a very little puple make a good shad color. Them chatter baits are also good for this time of the year.

Spinnerbaits only catch dinks. Then you use the dinks as bait to catch real bass smile

to qoute Hank Parker, don't care what color you throw as long as it's white or chartruse, my favorite is combination white/chart.

And if you call 4 - 5 lbers dinks, then I definitely want to fish your lake JigFishinFool.

I like white for clear water and chartruse for dirty water. I think it's also important to alter the size of your bait, and I'm not just talking about weight. Some of the lighter baits are also smaller, which can help with more bites.

I stick with white if the water is clear....stained i like more of a sexy shad color or white chart....and chart if the water is dirty. Clear water i normally always use chrome willow blades and if dirty i normally use colorado gold blades. What seems to be important where I fish is matching the size of the blade to the baitfish as well. I hear the painted blades work well in clear water also...i just bought some so i am looking forward to trying it out.

you rarely ever go wrong with chart/white i will turn to dark color on dark days or very early when i know they are eating bluegill i will match the bluegill color....but it is the operator and blade selection for your presentation for sure.
