I was walking a creek along Lavon in the woods and stepped right over this guy..considerably large copperhead..My buddy behind me was the one that noticed it and jumped about 10 feet back..This was right in the middle of a walking path and wasnt going anywhere...a good wack with my fishing pole just made it angry so we left it alone

Man I am sweating these things!!! I am taking my son turkey hunting this weekend and these and rattlers make me nervous while we are sitting on the ground!!! Glad everyone is ok! Im lucky, I dont see allot of those in Stonebridge!

Yeah..Whats scary is it saw me coming from a mile away and still didnt move...if I was walking alone I wouldnt have even known it happened hah...talk about camoflauge

Yeah bad cellphone pic..I was about 4 feet away when taking the pic and that bottle was an old 2 liter.

Same thing happened to me last year. My brother was following me and stopped short of the snake. I just blundered by, nearly stepping on it. Glad that they are not very aggressive. Very well camo'd snakes.

Whew. I have done that before with a Cottonmouth.
No fun to have them pointed out after you have stepped over them.
Was at Lavon when this happened to.
