The Caddo lake bass has my attention.
A couple thoughts
1. Crazy luck to catch her twice
2. A success story for Sharelunker? She was caught, donated, released, then recovered well enough to be caught again. Granted she was a tad lighter than last year.

I fished a farm pond as a kid that had one particular big bass in it. The first time I caught her I was playing a short 10 inch bass at the end of a pier. She got airborn as she hit the bass. A year or so later I landed her again on another short fish. Again not meaning to use it as bait, but haphazardly having the big girl swallow the smaller bass as I was reeling it in. She got real popular real quick, and family friends fished this pond several times and caught the bass a couple times. I caught her 4 times. Only once on artificial bait, a lizzard I believe. The first time I caught her she weighed around 7 lbs. The last time I caught her she weighed 12.

It is possible to catch a big fish multiple times, just not very probable.

Yes it is, but more likely with a native strain bass (like the caddo bass was, at least it was partly native) becuase they are more aggressive and more likely to bite to begin with. Florida strain bass, while they get huge, are harder to catch and more sensitive to slight changes in weather and environment. Floridas also seem to from past research remember baits better than native bass. Back in the late 80s or early 90s there was a guide on rayburn that caught a fish at the 147 bridge and put a tracking device in it. He later tracked it several miles up the attoyac and caught it up there, then a year or so later caught it at the bridge again. While it was a small fish, it did show how bass will travel great distances and can be caught over and over on the same bait if I remember correctly. I once caught a bedding bass 6 times in a two hour period.

Caught the same nine three times last summer on Fork. Actualy, my wife caught it first, buddy of mine the second time and then my brother caught it. Very distinctive markings and blind in it's right eye.
This was over about a six week period but the fish was within 30yds of the same spot every time.
Twice on a frog, once on a buzzbait..

I caught this bass twice in the same spot almost a year apart. I think this was 07 and 08. Notice the sore? on it's tail.

Caught 05/02/07 - weighed 6 lbs even

Caught 04/23/08 - weighed 6 lbs 8 oz

There was a SAL caught from AH three years in a row and turned in every time. She was about the same size each time.

I think some fish never get caught, and others get caught often.

On Fork I ran into the most agressive bass I have ever seen.He was on a bed and my partner caught it first and released it.It was back on the bed in 5 seconds. We sat there just to see how many times that bass would hit the same lure.We caught that fish 9 times in about 10 minutes. The genes in that bass need to be passed on.

the part that bothers me is the lack of size change in these fish being mentioned caught multiple times. 6 to 6.08 and a SAL same size basically three years in a row shouldn't these fish be bigger?
