Other afternoon I'm fishing, I see something moving through the water, thought was a turtle, looked like big head, but going to fast. He made it almost to the bank when I caught up with him. Ended up being some kind of snake, not a moccasin, had a bout a 3 or 4" CATFISH, in his mouth sideways. I tried to knock him in the head with my frog. Hit in the head a bunch times with the end of my rod. Poor catfish's wisker's was just a moving, I tried to save him, but couldn't. Hate those damn snakes.

I think seeing something like that would have made an interesting pic. As cruel as it might look, it's nature the way God intended it.

I saw this happen last summer when i was bowfishing so I shot the snake, but the fish was already dead.

It was pretty cool. I wish I had taken that picture. I forgot about the darn phone camera phone. Nothing like remembering after the fact. Snake in the above picture looks exactly like that snake. What is it? SOB was in the water.Threw some rattlers on that puppy, then whatcha got? It really was neat. That sucker would not let it go. Ur right, God's plan

the only good snake is a dead snake. The reason i am saying that is because a water mosican tried to bite my wife and little girl last year. I broke my tackle box and two poles killing that thing and it was a big snake about 6 feet long. So as i said the only good snake is a dead snake

I took this last weekend on Rayburn during the Bass Champs tourney. You just killed a harmless Diamond Back water snake. A real water moccasin, aka Cotton mouth doesn,t grow that long and most fully grown ones are fatter and have a short tail. In fact my uncle who lived around Winnsboro all his life called a Cotton Mouth a " Stump Tail ".
