There are fish to be caught up in less than 4' of water on jig/bobber...caught a ton over spring break wink

Back of coves w lil feeder creeks, docks, and cover along the bank anywhere on that lake right now will fill your cooler up. Go pitch a jig up next to a log n see how fast the cork gets gone

Here is what we did today in the high winds. I think last week between Jason, Lane, & myself we cleaned about 1500 fish. Yep, there biting!
As crappie-hook, and jerky said, there shallow. We've been on shallow fish since mid february.

glad the cats out of the bag.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

lots of people have been asking for basic info on cedar creek, and none of the guides try to help, Jason or chuck, just advertise, and now that some people have gave tips on the location and depth the fish are biting, the guide decides to reply now, , being the info has been put out already. all people were asking for was if they were shallow or not, and no info was given. Granted, as guides they dont owe the general public a damn thing, but dont get on here after the fact, and act like your trying to help, because that just isnt the case.

Still a ROOKIE at Crappie Fishing, you guys are making me feel like a GENIUS. ! ! !

I fish Cedar Creek pretty regular, and I wouldnt know any of these Guides if they walked up to me and spoke. But when they post up once or twice a week, showing 2 & 3 men limits, (and again, I'm not to experienced) that pretty
Much says they are biting. Then with info like: We caught'm on Blue/White Slab Bandit's, on deep/shallow brush piles. Well, that's just about everything you could want beside GPS Cords. I also see them chime in, when someone is asking about "Technique". It's hard for me to say they are snubbing with their info. Maybe it is WE need to be smart enough to understand the info being given.

Also, I wouldn't/don't give out info of where the fish are. I have a family/kids and everything that everyone else has to make time for in our lives. My wife thinks I spend to much time fishing, but she loves the hell out of the fact, I can get her on fish when she goes. If you don't have time to go research, I don't see that as someone's fault that HAS taken the time, and spent the $$$ to find out where they are.

But that's just me. An Old Man's Opinion...
Keith

if you can locate fish just based on the info.. " the fish are biting and they are biting on blue and white slab bandits on a lake the size of cedar creek, then you must be a genius. // Cedar creek is a massive lake, and can be overwhelming to people who havent been there, and a person could spend all day looking in the wrong areas. Also take into acct that not everyone has high tech equiptment like side imaging, gps lakemaps , ect. I rememnber not very long ago,, you joined this forum and was asking questions like crazy, things very elementary.... you appreciated the information you were given,,.. did you not.. so now you learned to catch a few fish,, and have become an authority right.. funny. Also it sounds like you Spend ALOT of time fishing, well sooner or later a blind hog will stumble on an acorn right, not everybody has 6 months to go look for fish.

the first time I went to cedar creek, I hammered them, and it wasnt because I am good, , it was because a good man named duck jerky gave me some tips on what area to fish.he didnt give me exact locations, just a general guideline, and thats all I wanted, I put the rest of the pieces together. Duck jerkys advice made my trip a success, and I gaurantee you, when I decide to hire a guide, on cedar creek, he will be the one I call. Little gestures go a long way sometimes.

When did this turn into the bass fishing section? grin I wouldn't call out the guides on this really. Chuck especially has been wicked helpful and I have learned a ton from his posts. Shoot he has even posted a coordinate or two before. He has also helped me through pm's when he really didn't need to. They owe us nothing and many guides don't even come on here to post anything.

The fact they are posting they are catching coolers of fish tell me the fish are biting and just the simple math of time of year, water temperature and such I can deduct pretty much where they are fishing. Just saying, can't we all just get along. It's crappie fishing for crying out loud. thumb
