jcm...The "Blue Hole" is behind Home Depot in Waxahachie. Drive around the back, off the parking lot, graveled area to the right of the parked trucks or dirt drive path to the left. I fished there Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun. Caught a Catfish over 5.5lbs on Sun and lots of smaller Cats, Bass, Bream, Florida Nut Crackers, Blue Gill, Bull Heads, Soft Shell Turtles every day. The water is usually without Ducks. A huge flock landed a few weeks ago and are munching on the fish. I think they stop there every year on their migration path as a fueling station.

Let me know when you want to go and I will meet you there. I drive an old GMC small red truck or a white Impala and usually a white Ford Ranger with me. It's fun fishing there, water is beautiful and clear. Usually the fish are a bit finicky but sometimes you can catch a bunch. Right now is pretty good.

See you there. clap

I'm up for it if it's timed right. Holidays are a-coming, tightening schedules. I can't believe i haven't seen you out there, I look every time I drive by. I've only stopped a couple of times this month, I've been helping my bro-in-law build docks at his place in Scurry while the water is low.

jcm, I can't help you with the cats, I've only fished for bass out there.

What part of "uphold the constitution" don't they understand?

Caught the big one on a panfish hook #6 baited with a half of a Night Crawler and a pink Berkley's Magot. Caught some smaller ones on Redneck's Catfish Bait Soap with a pink Berkley's Magot. The pink seemed to be what turned them on to biting. My Son was fishing with a Prepared Catfish Bait and caught one, he also had better luck with the Night Crawlers. The Bass I caught on a Spinner Bait, 2 gold willow blades, white skirt/yellow head/split tail chart trailer. I had a slip float set-up with a eggsinker above swivel and a leader with a #6 panfish hook tied to the other end of the swivel. I had the float set at about 5'.

Ornery...where I have been parking is hard to see from 77, you might be able to see from 287. The water is so low there is actually a bank area below the wall, drive to the left of the gravel area. It's good because I can get out of the wind.

I will probably be there Friday. fish

Red,
Thinking of going there tomorrow. I too look for your truck everytime I am on 77. Now I know why I haven't seen it.

Hey ALL,

I usually stop fishing when it gets too hot. I've been a little "under the weather" these last few months. All is GOOD now! banana Ready to get back out there. Let me know how you guys/gals do. I feel a fishing trip coming on. thumb

Joy...glad to see you back. You and luckylure and hot weather and no fishing. Can't see how anyone can stop fishin'. I'll go when it's hot, raining, cold, windy. Guess you are the smart 2. laugh Hope to see you at the water. fish

Don't forget the TFF Christmas Party at the Oasis at Joe Pool. Last year was great, this year is sure to be even better.

Went out yesterday and managed one dink. The wind about blew me over. Red, I see what you mean about all of the ducks. The construction guys have messed up the water on the north side behind that building they are building. Joy, good to hear from you again. I just saw on the TPWD stocking report that your little hole in Duncanville will be stocked 5 times for trout.

Hate to hear that luckylure, I have not been over on that side. I wonder what they are building there at the water. Can you tell from that side?

Trout stocking at Duncanville, I plan on going for that, have not been for the trout before.

My buddy Horns fishes all the trout spots with me each year. He came across some neat info about Duncanville this year. According to TDPW, they are going to stock it 8 times. Each time they are going to put 200 or more larger trout 10" to 14" as part of a research program.
