Well Bigbobdallas52, Bill and I headed out to Grapevine early Sunday morning around 1:00 am to try and take advantage of the supermoon. Shad was easy to get once we located some. North side of Mcpherson Slough provided all the big cutters we needed. Wind was tough. Made for a rough wet ride. Tried by Murrell park with no luck. Wind was getting tough so we headed back in to a small cove and anchored up. Around dawn, Bob had a great catch. 11.10 lb blue along with a channel at that same time. Somehow one of the fish made a run on one his lines and got tangled with another fish that was another line and managed to reel one in and landed both at the same time. Quite a sight. After day break we decided to try the north end and see how rough the water was. Started a drift as the wind was still pretty rough. Couple of minutes in had one hookup but managed to loose it. A few minutes later and one of my rods slams down a couple of times and the fight was on. Few minutes later we netted a nice 26 to 28 lb blue, She was released to fight again another day. I have some video of the release that I will try and get uploaded. The final pic was the catch of the day. Bill managed this monster on cut buffalo soaked in Dead Red. Fishing with Bill is always a good time.

Bills our hero. Good thing he takes everything with a grain of salt. We always have fun when we take him along with us.. Really he is a great guy and does alot for me. And of cource couldn't do it with out Robert he is the greatest fishing buddy you could ever ask for. And also helps keep this old boat running. I have learned a lot from him. I use to always fish for crappie till I meet Robert If I can ever get him to slow down and quit working so much. But hey his family and wife and bill and his wife are the best friends you could ask for
