thats what I have heard.... also heard them called gaspergoo.... been catching them out of the guadalupe here in victoria for the past 2 years.... smaller ones get turned into cut bait and if small enough(8in or smaller) live bait on drop lines..... pulled one out last year around the 30 in. mark... fun to catch just never really knew what they were... thanks

Nice fish, Dave! I was the previous R&R record holder for the 12.31 lb blue I caught on 11/7/2009. Before that, there was no record, which made me wonder if I was the only one fishing Graham for blues. It's good to know that I'm not the only one out there chasing them and that there are bigger ones out there.

Eat the drum too!!! Better in grease than on a hook...seriously...I filleted one once and fried it up to see how it tasted. Not bad! If you like to eat redfish...same thing...just a different species in the same family...
