I'm trying to decide on EM or Benbrook. I would like to catch some hybrids but I don't know if I want to fight the wind on Benbrook. I'm not sure if EM would be any better. I could just go to Weatherford and put in real early and fish for brim.

At least at EM I could fish the humps by the dam.

I fish on a 14 ft piece of plastic.

If you go to Weatherford, let me know how you did. I have been waiting for the crappie to start biting. Hope its soon.

Thanks to all. I dunno. I guess I will figure out where I'm going when I get up and see what the wind does.

You can fish the humps by the dam right now but they're not there. The fish have been in 17-22' and others have been in as little as 3'. EM was never stocked with Hybrids but it's full of Sandbass.

The fish are at the humps but on the sides not on top. We caught them in 30-35 ft. We lost count at 50 and left them biting. The wind is blowing but is fishable. Just throw out a marker to keep your location. The females are full of eggs and ready to bust. Not a single boat around us Friday and Saturday. We were using white spoons.

Went to Weatherford about a week ago, and it's already really low. wind was a pain in the butt and didn't catch anything.

Weatherford is 4 feet low. The water temperature is 62.6 degrees. White and yellow bass are spawning. Sunfish and crappie are still in the deep water. If you want to catch lots of fish use a small(#10) gold Aberdeen hook and a 1 inch piece of nightcrawler and fish up against the rocks on the wall. You will catch all the yellow bass you want. The biggest are about 9 inches long, but there is no limit and no minimum size. Just be sure it is not a white bass.

This is a typical yellow bass. Sorry about the blood. He swallowed the hook.

Well, I ended up going to EM. It was rough. I got alot of strikes but between fighing the TM and the waves I lost more than I got in. Today would have been a good day to use barbed hooks I guess. It would have been an even better day to have a guide.
