I will say they are very suspicious whether you are guilty or not. They seem like they are trying to trip you up. Like how many did YOU catch Did You give a lot of fish to someone else. Are there any fish any other place I should know about. Are there fisherman up stream that I should be checking. Asked me about five times. Circled my boat five times too. I think someone must have said something to him thinking i was illegal. Anyway got checked twice in an hour by five wardens. They were training i guess. Nice guys apologized for checking me twice offered to follow me in motor troubles after stopped.

Up until this year I had been stopped one time by a game warden on the Angelina river, never had I been stopped on the lake. This year I have been stopped 3 times on Rayburn and twice by the same warden. They have all been pleasant so it was no big deal

I've been ticketed on Rayburn for my wife's life jacket not being adult sized. It was apparently a youth and he decided it would be a lesson for me to learn the hard way. Very confrontational guy. I still resent him for it, all other times I;ve been stopped there everyone's been real noce. I've been stopped on Nac on back to back weekends several times. Real good guys, no doubt about it. I like that they check people out. I've seen some real idiots out there that needed a reality check. Heard one tell a guy last weekend that he might wanna take up golf!

A friend of mine's Son-in-law just became a game warden. They go through some pretty tough training. You have to realize that these guys and gals deal with ALL walks of life. The criminals they deal with they know are armed with weapons. Catching poachers at night? Seriously? It takes balls that clank to do that job. They have a huge territory and very little help to cover it. Treat them with respect, you'll get the same back.
