Hey Guys,
What's everybody throwing out there lately? Any tips or strategies working well right now? I'm always looking to try something new...

Various lakes near Dallas. Usually stained. I'm just wanting to know what's been working...

Catfish are good on most lakes. Drift fresh dead shad on a Santee Cooper rig over wind blown points. 12 to 6 feet.

Bass are on fishing most anything. Lizards and brush hogs.

I don't have all the answers, but I'm a quick learner!

LMB males are moving up for the spawn. Females are still holding back 10-12ft water. Slow down your presentation. I have got some reaction bites from males but havent got into the females yet. I would give bout another week and half and the females should start moving in....hopefully! Spinners around weed lines edges, jigs and shallow crank baits round lay downs, soft plastics on/in weeds.

Crappie are in the creeks now - fish tube jigs around fallen timber wherever you find it. After the next good rain the whites will pour into the creeks - wait a few days for the water to clear then go after them with small grubs and in-line spinners. Spawning black bass, white bass and crappie make Spring a great time of year for the kayak fisherman!

For the female bass pull off the bank and slow down with a shakey head or a weighted wacky worm and have fun. Caught 17 today in a few hours with a 6 and a 5 doing so.

Awsome pics! I have twin 5yo girls and I impressed your girl in the pic holding that fish. I love to see kids getting into all outdoors stuff. Keep them in it!

Swimming jigs did good last weekend on my local honey hole pond but that was there. It also took an arsenal of lures before I found what they wanted. Stock up and good luck!
