What combinations have you tried? Dry? damp? oily? What work well and what really sucks?
I have tried:
-grits, salt, cool-aid, crushed range cubes(worked ok)
-crushed calf manna, salt, cool-aid(worked amazing, you will see the report later on)
-pure calf mana(worked ok)
-extremely salty sweet corn(worked well but tricky to do)
I have only made dry mixes except for the saly sweet corn, you can get some of the corn in there while it is damp with salty water and the pva mesh will contract but not melt, allowing you to cast it.
I am VERY curious about oily stick mixes.

I prefer fishing the stick over method balls (I may be weird, I don't know).
Mine is almost always a mixture of 3 grains, calf mana, plus whatever boilie bits and/or maize I'm fishing with.

My all time favourite stick mix was liquidized white and wheat bread (50/50 mix), sweetcorn, and a peanut oil that is no longer available. Just don't use oil in stick mixes in cooler water as the bag may never explode, which is what you are trying to achieve. I wish I could find that oil again

I've been doing one with quarter sized pieces of bread, Kool aid, Maize, and salt all packed into a stick. Once the bread is packed it sinks, but I usually tear it up before it gets packed. Works great in ponds.

So I got a korda krusha in the mail and boy does it work well for calf mana. I am at lake. Amistad right now bass fishing with my dad and I had some free time yesterday. I made a stick mix of crushed calf manna, salt, tuna and a fish oil. I could only fish for an hour but I managed to get a 12lb buff(no baiting). Not bad for a test drive of an oily stick mix.

calf manna works really well for buffs, and can be killer for carp too. i used to use it all the time but now i cant afford to buy a 50lb bag all the time at 25$ a bag.

50lbs for $25 is a pretty good deal if you ask me, that would last a long time the way I use it. And yes, I caught a ton of buffs on calf manna
