Was hoping to go fishing sometime in the near future if the winds will die down. Is there any ramps on the south end of the lake that you can launch? Last time I was on the lake was in late November and I launched from the bridges north of Malakoff and it was low then. Any help would be appreciated.

some guys i know who normally use caney launched at fisherman's wharf saturday. that might mean it's too low for caney but i'm not sure. they may have just been dodging the south wind.

if you use fisherman's wharf you will have to use the ramp down by the camping area. the lake is too low to use the others.

Don's Port Marina still has enough water to launch. Not on the south end, but about the same distance if you're coming from the west. I think he charges 5 bucks or so.

launched at Fisherman's Wharf and didn't even go on the main lake. Fished for about an hour and cleaned a limit of sandbass. Thanks guys for the help with the info. Just wished I had more time to fish!
