Had a buddy tell me that he wades in the creek and catches lm bass. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing and if so how do you think they got there (the fish that is not the people)?

sure.....that's my namesake. I grew up on it. There are bass, cats, bream, various minnows. look in the deep pools are where there is a low-water dam. Now granted....it ain't lake Fork. They've been there always, part of the natural fauna that we haven't quite managed to kill out yet.

It has its headwaters somewhere in the northeastern part of Dallas County, but it joins up with the East Fork of the Trinity River, just below the Ray Hubbard Dam. By all rights, it should have every kind of fish in it that the rest of them do. Its banks are steep, kind of like Rowlett Creek.

I used to catch catfish in duck creek. They usually hide out under the banks. I used to see them right after it rained.

I use to fish in there all the time, still live right next to it. (wynn joyce and duck creek area) We used to go park in the housing area right off of Wynn Joyce between Duck Creek and Obanion. There is a pond back there, but if you keep walking down a little further back, you run into the creek. There are fish all over the place. A buddy of mine found a spot down there that he would not reveal, but he brought back plenty of pics of 5 and 6 lb cats being caught down there.
