I have not been to Fork during the spawn so I'm looking forward to this trip. Usually don't get the chance to go until May. I'm also taking my six year old to Fork for his first overnight fishing trip. I'm hoping to catch some nice fish and see some of the crazy stuff I hear about on this forum.

To all of you posting in the rubbernecking post or may happen to be out ther.... I only know 4 areas to fish on Fork so if you see a guy and his son pull up trying to figure out if it's safe to settle in behind you we apologize, we only have a few options with our little Champion. Good luck to everyone, catch a big one!

Good luck. Just be patient because you will get cut off this time of year.

Thanks tritonious!

I keep hearing about rude people, but I was there in May last year with a buddy and heard a guy yelling for help, i pulled up the trolling motor and headed over thinking he was in trouble. He had a 6 pound fish wrapped around a stump. He actually thought it was a lot bigger, anyway we helped him land the fish and he suggested we tie up on the next stump and fish with him as he was catching them pretty good. Even offered to share the worms he was catching them on. That's the kind of people I've run into on Fork and I hope that never changes. By the way we caught a few that day, and did pretty well there the next day.

I'll be out there again with my six year old son too. In fact the wife and the three year old son will be with us for a little while Thursday. The wife and the three year old can't stand to much. We'll be in the white and yellow Triton. If you see us stop by and say hi. Warning though, if you start talking fishing to Pake (my 6 year old) he'll talk your leg off. Pake is earning a new nickname, "CHATTER" bait.

I hear ya, mine is a talker as well, but he will stay on the lake all day. We will be there after lunch. Most likely in Birch, Williams or Mustang depending on how things look when we get there. We will be in a white and maroon champion.
