So I've fished there 3 times for Catfish and have blanked. I'm using cut buffalo in various sizes, strips, etc. I'm fishing primarily west of sand bass point. Various distances, shallow, medium, long, etc.

Should I be banking another location? Thanks for any help.

just keep moving around....until you find some. They are moving as well..and generally to shallow water this time of year and will be shallow for several months to come. Good luck. You have to do the same from a boat---its part of the deal.

Thanks for the comments. Looks like a little more movement is in order, perhaps just use 1 rod, and move every 15 min or so till I find sumpin that wants to bite. wink

If we could get the temps and winds to stay consistent. Trophy Club park shallows is where you wanna be. I would stay away from buffalo this time of year.....use fresh shad

I LOVE bank fishing! I could afford a boat, but I prefer to set up my gear, relax and wait it out. Yah... blanking sucks...but to be honest, I don't blank that much. When it comes to Carp, Buffalo fishing I can catch them pretty much anywhere they're at, anytime. wink But cats...I mean...BIG cats. They're a little bit harder to catch. I'm not after eating size, I'm after braggin size and they don't come to often from the bank, but when they do it's something to remember. wink

I think one of my biggest mistakes about cat fishing is ASSuming they will bite MY bait. I need to take along a variety and throw out a buffet and see what they want. wink
