Going to hit Lavon next Saturday if it's not blowing 30. Any idea where to put in and get to some deep timber in a kayak? Unless we see some reports of the 380 bridge heating up we're planning to hit the timber if we can find some in 15 ft of water or so (unless someone has a better idea for us). We're in yaks and would like to stay relatively close to shore, let me know if you have any general areas to look at.

ray hubbard is also an option for us, if the wind is real strong out of the south we might put in at the 66 bridge and try the rocks & pillars there.

I would hit rowlett creek. Put in at miller road and find the brush piles, there are a ton out there. Get out early, it will be busy!

Trying to stay away from RC, been down there off and on for 2 weeks. Tired of the crowds.

66 pylons always have fish on them. All year long.

I'm really leaning towards going there, there's a good combination of shallow rocks and deep structure, and there's shade smile I've gone there and not done all that well before though....went down there last year and caught a big slab right away, then nothing for 2 or 3 hours. I'll take some minnows just in case it's slow, I didn't have any with me last time.

Where is a good place to get minnows around hubbard/lavon? I live in Richardson and would be coming down George Bush heading to hubbard.
