I can think of at least a dozen punch lines here, but I'll be polite.

RCM take the toll to Witchata Fall and get on 82. I make the drive on a regular basis. Are you headed to AH if so there is a short cut to avoid going through Lubbock from OKC

I40 west to Amarillo, take I 27 to Lubbock, it is a pretty drive through Canyon!Used to drive it often when I was still trucking.
Keep your powder dry & don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!!

I have tried all of them, as I am from NE oklahoma and go back frequently, there are no shortcuts to lubbock lol. As someone said there are to alan henry though by avoiding lubbock.
The distance is about the same whether you go through lawton or through amarillo, through amarillo to I27 is the fastest in my opinion. I have learned to hate oklahoma toll roads also so I try to avoid them.

I've driven from Wichita Falls to Lubbock many times.
I drove from OKC to Lubbock 2 years ago. I-40 to Amarillo and then south to Lubbock is better.

Drive there via Wichita Falls, and come back through Amarillo. Record your mileage and which was the better choice of roads.

When I was in school at Tech my little brother played football at UCO. I made that drive a lot of weekends. I prefer OKC to Amarillo then Amarillo to Lubbock. If you are going to Alan Henry I would go the Wichita Falls route.
