I will be going to Quintana beach this weekend, hoping to leave Thursday night or Friday morning. I will have 2000 watts of light for night fishing and will be there a couple days ,does anyone fish this area ?I don't get to take my dad out that often and this is our time. I am looking for Trout ,Flounder ,or reds(slot).Didn't know if maybe someone would maybe have a better suggestion.I will be throwing big rods out and using small rods with artificials.

The MOB can be pretty productive this time of year. Mainly reds and black drum till the water warms a little. The flounder fishing can be pretty good too. The currents are very dangerous though. Every year, someone wades out to what they think is just waist deep, they get swept away, and then they get pulled out covered in crabs. Wear a PFD!

Good luck!

+100 on the PFD. Been in up to my knees and had current wash the sand out from under my feet and knock me down.
